Milagro - Adopted

ABOUT ME

Please meet our little car engine kitty, Milagro (little miracle). Our vet volunteers, Matt Takara, DVM, and his better half and wife, Erin McCafferty, believe he fell out of a moving car. He was likely taking refuge in the engine and the driver (not realizing the kitten was even there) probably got on the road. That’s when this tiny baby hit the fan blade (based on the type of lacerations) and bounced out into the middle of the road. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found him and took him directly to a vet and they contacted us.⠀

He’s doing much better now! He got sutures and then had a bath with anti-fungal shampoo, had his ears cleaned out, was combed for fleas, and treated with Revolution for the fleas and ear mites.⠀

He is FIV/FeLV negative and up to date on vaccinations and he no longer has stitches - he’s healing very nicely! ⠀

His foster is doing a great job with him. She’s a senior in high school. She’s doing daily weight tracking and taking full responsibility for Milagro! Thank you to this family! Our volunteer, Erin McCafferty said his name, Milagro (miracle), is very fitting considering most engine kittens don't make it out alive.⠀

We’re so grateful this sweet kitty did make it out alive and he’s thriving now.

*Please note that because we rescue new animals every week, not all of our pets may appear on our website.  Feel free to contact us for additional information.

Upon receiving a completed application, we review it and contact you to line up a meet and greet. A collar, tag and carrier must be brought to the meet and greet. We recommend researching supplies needed for a new pet and gathering those supplies needed, you can contact us to find out what food to buy. Adoption fees for cats are generally $100 plus tax unless the cat has had a special surgery or treatment.
