ABOUT ME
My name is Bonnie, you can also call me Chocolate BonBon and Bonnie Girl.
Our best guess of my breed is Chocolate Lab and Border Collie. I am a very beautiful girl and I like to be reminded of how gorgeous I am. I am a sable brown like a classic chocolate lab with gorgeous gold eyes. In the sun I have reddish blonde undertones. l have a slightly fluffy tail and one standing ear like that a Border Collie. My fur is like cashmere and you will want to pet me. I do fine with baths and like it when you sing to me! My teeth are pearly white.
I like cats, dogs and the sofa. I am gentle, sweet and mellow and would make an amazing pet or additional pet for anyone with an easy going household wanting an easy going dog. I was rescued from a local bus station and have overcome much of my timid street dog ways. I am not sure of kids but adults can pet me. Please use your kind voice and be patient with me. I am pleasant as a peach, just as sweet and not fussy. I don’t bork bork it up or whine. On the other hand, I am very quiet and a bit shy. I will require an experienced, responsible, patient adopter.
I enjoy the simple dog duties. Sleeping, being the center of attention, wagging my tail while you pet me, lounging on the couch and eating. I am a dainty eater. I don't eat fast but I do like to eat.
I am middle age at 6 years old. I am a medium sized weighing in at a solid 54 pounds. My temperament is friendly, easy, quiet and reserved. I don’t chew on your stuff. I DO LOVE fluffy squeaky things and like to play with them when you are not looking...I did say I was shy right? I am known to carry around your slippers or flip flops because they smell like you. I don't tear them up though.
To add to my adoptability factor I am already completely housebroken. I know my potty goes outdoors. I walk nicely on a leash and will require a harness like my pretty orange one in my photos or Martingale collar (to avoid slipping the collar). I get startled sometimes but I am a really good girl once I know you've got my back. I know SIT! I am great around other more mature dogs and cats. My dream home would be a not so active home. A doggie door leading to a small backyard where I can sunbathe and do my business. I love to cuddle on the couch and the bed, basically I love to lounge. Walks are great but lets keep it short. If I get tired I will just lay down on the best patch of grass around. I like massages and when you sing to me!! Yes, my two favorite songs are My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean and You Are My Sunshine. I get all gooey inside and sit there wagging my tail giving my full attention. I'm also crate trained if ever needed.
