We’re celebrating one year of this newsletter: Thank you! |
In May of 2021, we launched this newsletter to share stories with you about the animals we rescue and place in forever families. We've been thrilled at the response to it! We have many wonderful supporters but our biggest fans - like you! - subscribe to our newsletter and read it every month. We love hearing from you and we're so glad you have an interest in hearing about the kittens and puppies, dogs and cats, we rescue from the streets. It's your unwavering support: your donations, fostering, adopting, and sharing our stories, that makes the difference in the lives of so many animals. We can't do this work without you! Thank you for subscribing and we look forward to another fantastic year of sharing our news with you.

Lonely Hearts Club Updates |
Our special needs Lonely Hearts Club pup Paisley got adopted! Her new family is a previous LHC adopter - they adopted sweet Rose from us just a few months ago. Paisley is a beautiful, joyful girl but she suffers from anxiety (she was afraid of noises and even of being outdoors!). She had an amazing, patient foster who worked with her and, after several months, she was ready to find an understanding furever family. Now, she has one! Huge thanks to our Lonely Hearts Club members whose recurring donations each month help our harder-to-place pets find homes.
This month, we're inducting THREE new animal members into our Lonely Hearts Club and each one has a special need. -
Beautiful Biscuit is a five-and-a-half-year-old female Siamese cat. Sadly, Biscuit has cholangiohepatitis, a liver inflamation disease. According to the Cornell Feline Health Center, "the prognosis for feline cholangiohepatitis is unpredictable." Biscuit has her good days and her bad days. We're treating her with medication but she likely won't have a very long life span. We are hoping to find an adopter for her who is interested in loving her unconditionally and who will help her enjoy her remaining time. She's a really lovely kitty who just needs to find the right furever family.
-
Fanny-Sue is a one-year-old black kitty who has great barn cat potential! She will definitely come around to being your friend at some point but she'll need time to acclimate.
-
Scootie is a two-and-a-half-year-old Siamese cat who recently gave birth to kittens. She's a gorgeous gal but semi-feral so ideally, she'll find an adopter who will be patient and work with her to forge a relationship.
We can't place these lovely animals without your help! If you're not already a Lonely Hearts Club member, we invite you to become one today. Monthly donations start at just $10 and each level comes with cool swag when you join! |

The future’s so bright, Sweet Pea’s gotta wear shades... |
Oculus Eyewear recently hosted us for a Dog Day Adoption Event at their Alamo Heights location. Our pups had a great time in the bright and airy showroom at 5024 Broadway (see all of the photos here) and we loved checking out all of the stylish small batch frames Oculus offers. Now, the fun continues with a summer-long fundraiser, thanks to the generosity of Oculus Eyewear: $5 for every frame purchased at Oculus Eyewear and on https://www.oculuseyegallery.com will be donated to us! If you're in need of some new glasses or a cool pair of sunglasses, check them out. They'd love to meet you!
Thank you, Oculus Eyewear, for your amazing support of Footbridge Foundation! |
