Welcome to our first monthly newsletter! We're excited to stay in touch with you, our loyal donors, adopters, fosters, and volunteers, with a new, monthly e-newsletter. Your time is valuable so we promise to keep our correspondence brief and to the point as we share updates with you about how your money, volunteering, fostering, and support work in concert to help us rescue and find safe, loving forever homes for hundreds of kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs in San Antonio.
How Remy became a Hoosier Remy was adopted by an Indiana family who is friends with our Indiana volunteers. But, we had to get Remy all the way to Bloomington, Indiana! Thankfully, a San Antonio volunteer offered to drive Remy halfway to Arkansas. Two of our Indiana volunteers met our Texas volunteer and Remy in Arkansas and drove her the rest of the way to Indiana. Now, Remy is home and she has a new best friend.
The Bella of the Ball Beautiful Bella dreams of going to the dance (her forever home) but she needs a partner (a loving family)!
This darling four-year-old, 10-pound tabby girl has been in our care for over six months. Her foster says she's a champion cuddler who likes to sing and chat. She's friendly, smart, and curious and she loves making friends.
So, why hasn't Bella been adopted? Bella is FIV+ and while FIV+ cats can safely live with other cats and they can also live normal lives, both in quality and duration, it can be challenging to convey this about Bella to potential adopters.
That's where you come in! Bella’s adoption fee is being sponsored at 100%. All she requires is a loving forever family. Do you have any family or friends who are looking for a wonderful cat to adopt? Please share Bella with them. All sweet Bella needs is an opportunity to meet a potential family and we're sure they'll fall deeply in love.
We are available to answer questions about FIV+ cats and we also recommend this website which answers most FIV+ questions: Best Friends: FIV+ information ⠀
Kitten season is here!* Bottle baby season is in full swing and these two bottle babies are the first we’ve rescued this year. These babies were cut out of the underbelly of an RV in Port Aransas and brought up to San Antonio for rescue by some Good Samaritans.
* Enter our contest to name this brother/sister duo! Our Port Aransas kittens need names! This is a "fun"draiser to help cover the vetting costs of our bottle babies. Just $5 gets your chosen pair of names in the hat to be randomly selected the morning of May 8th. We will announce the winner and kittens' names on social media! Enter now!
We'll be in touch again in June, but in the meantime... We always love hearing from you - our donors, adopters, fosters, and volunteers! If you have a question or a story to share about your experience with Footbridge Foundation, please send it to us for possible coverage in an upcoming newsletter. Please contact us at info@footbridgefoundation.org. Thank you!
