This summer, we've got a variety of ways to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable animals. See the options below, then choose your own fundraising adventure! Thank you for your ongoing and dedicated support for the animals in San Antonio. It's been a rough summer so far and any donation you make helps us help them. |
Every year for her birthday in July, Wendy (our founder and CEO) raises funds for Footbridge Foundation on Facebook. And each year, she raises a lot to help our animals. You can say Happy Birthday to her by making a donation to Wendy's birthday fundraiser on Facebook. Your donation directly helps the animals in need. Footbridge Foundation works with many San Antonio area shelters, rescues and individuals to save as many as possible from dire situations. Our goal for 2022 is to intake over 450 cats and dogs in need. Facebook takes care of the donation processing with no fees. Wish Wendy a happy birthday with a donation - any amount is helpful!

Donations to our Summer Fundraiser help our special needs animals who have been through so much! Cupcake, who had a prolapsed rectum, has had two emergency surgeries, as has Gizmo for the same affliction. Siamese kitty Minky and her nine kittens came to us with ringworm and all 10 were treated for upper respiratory infections. Cinnamon had a leg amputated and is now being evaluated for problems with one of her remaining three paws. And Millie, who had an emergency blood transfusion to combat Mycoplasmosis, was recently diagnosed Feline Leukemia Virus. Each of these animals needs specialized medical care beyond our usual vetting and that means we need the funds to be able to provide the care they need. This adventure helps save the lives of our most vulnerable animals! Donate to our Summer Fundraiser today!

We're raising funds for our miracle cat, Jake Gyllenpaw! This kitty beat FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), which is almost always fatal. A relatively new, off-market 12-week treatment for FIP is bringing hope to cat lovers everywhere - including us, for Jake. But it's not cheap. This successful treatment to save Jake's life cost about $4,000. We've been grateful to receive a generous donation from our friends, The Cannoli Fund, but we are still hoping to cover the remaining $3500.
For six weeks, Jake endured daily painful injections (it took three people to administer this one injection!). After that time, Jake was doing so well, he was able to switch to pills for the remaining six weeks of treatment. Now, he's thriving and in a foster-to-adopt home. Although, we continue to monitor his health as it is possible for him to relapse.
For anyone who donates $100 to Footbridge Foundation at this link this summer, we're sending them a Jake T-shirt to celebrate his great fortune and to thank them for helping fund his important treatment. This fun T-shirt was designed by the students in the Graphic Design and Print Department at Brackenridge High School. Special thanks to their instructor, Michael Ramirez, for leading this project and donating the design to us!
