Charity Love from Cherrity Bar! We just heard the amazing news! The total raised at The Cherrity Bar in July for Footbridge Foundation was $4,572.13! This is the most they've ever raised for a non profit! We couldn't have done it without the generosity of The Cherrity Bar and, as importantly, without everyone who voted for us and came out to drink and dine during the month of July.
Voted to be The Cherrity Bar's July 2021 nonprofit beneficiary, Footbridge Foundation was thrilled to host two very important events there: founder Wendy Black's 50th birthday party and Footbridge Foundation's third anniversary of becoming a nonprofit. Both of those events were held on Cherrity Bar giveback days during which 10% of the day's food and beverage sales were donated to us. In addition, $1 from the sale of every Mango Fetch specialty cocktail during the month of July was donated to Footbridge Foundation and diners were encouraged to add a charity pool tip to us on their bill's tip line.
Cherrity Bar's incredible generosity makes a huge difference in the work local nonprofits can do to help San Antonio. We are so grateful for all they've done for us, from raising money to bringing awareness about our nonprofit to the community.
Thank you, Cherrity Bar, for helping us rescue vulnerable animals from the streets of San Antonio so we can care for them and give them a bridge to a new life!
Barkadelic and Yoga benefit Footbridge Foundation in August! August brings new ways to support the work we do at Footbridge Foundation. We're fortunate to have so many great businesses in the community offer to help us raise funds to get more animals off the streets and into loving, safe homes. There's a $10 suggested donation at the door, a raffle full of awesome prizes that will make you say MEOW, aerial performance by Suspend Your Belief, get a caricature of you and your furry friend from artist Ryan Forrester, shop some amazing vintage, pet related and cruelty free pop ups, drink specials, and, most importantly, meet some of the wonderful cats and dogs available for adoption.
Virtual Charity Yoga Class with Taylor Brock We met Taylor Brock a few months ago when we helped her find a home for a stray pup. Now, newly certified as a yoga instructor, Taylor would like to give back by offering a virtual charity yoga class. All proceeds from the class will be donated to Footbridge Foundation. The Lonely Hearts Club: Meet Opal Welcome to our Lonely Hearts Club, Opal! This lovely lady came to us in April, along with her SIX puppies, who soon found their forever homes after being transported to our partner, the Aspen Animal Shelter, in Colorado. Opal's been patiently waiting at her loving foster's home for her perfect people, but she has yet to meet them. That's why we've inducted her into The Lonely Hearts Club - Opal's adoption fee is 100% sponsored to help her get adopted.
Opal is a two-and-a-half-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who loves riding in the car.
