You’re Invited to a Dog Day Patio Party! |
This Friday, August 26, is National Dog Day. To celebrate, we're hanging out with our friends, The Dog Guide San Antonio, for their 2nd Annual Dog Day Patio Party on the lush grounds of The Good Kind Southtown from 7-9 PM, and you’re invited!
We’ll have dogs and puppies available for adoption, including Max, Lightning, Trevor, Lucille, Owen, four puppies named after types of lettuce, and more! And, you can enjoy PAWesome eats and drinks, local dog-friendly vendors, and some dog-friendly competition with a musical game of S-I-N-G-O.
The event is free and open to the public and there will be fun prizes you won't want to miss. Bring your pup with you or find your new furry best friend there. We can't wait to see you this Friday! |
We’re overwhelmed by the kind and generous support of Oculus Eyewear. They’re raising money for Footbridge Foundation all summer long - for every frame sold this summer, @0culuseyewear is donating $5 to Footbridge Foundation!
Sadly, summer can't last forever. That means, you only have ONE week left to visit Oculus Eyewear in person, at 5024 Broadway in Alamo Heights, or online to snag your cool new pair of unique shades or glasses and help benefit Footbridge Foundation at the same time. This amazing fundraiser ends Wednesday, August 31. Be sure to visit their new location at 5024 Broadway in Alamo Heights or online at oculuseyegallery.com to purchase your new frames!
Brick, seen here, is a four-month-old, super sociable and adorable orange tabby kitten. He comes running when you call him, he loves cat treats, and he is extremely affectionate. He is curious about everything and gets along well with friendly dogs and cats. Send us your application to meet Brick today! |
Our Lonely Hearts Club continues to make dreams come true! We've had FIVE incredible adoptions recently of wonderful, but tougher to place, animals. Special needs animals like Chula (who required thousands of dollars in veterinary care and tons of love and patience from her dedicated foster family) and Cinnamon (a tripod kitten with a broken wrist) now have forever families who adore them. Mac (an older cat, rescued in poor shape from a Home Depot parking lot) and Dreamsicle (who came to us with a litter of kittens she dutifully nursed) can rest easy in their new love-filled lives. And Sweet Pea, the last of her adorable litter to find true love, finally got her happily ever after.
Lonely Hearts Club human members subscribe to a monthly donation to help us care for and cover the adoption fees for our harder to place animals until they find their forever families. We are SO grateful to our LHC members as we simply couldn't care for these animals on such a long term basis without their kind and generous donations. Thank you!
Become a Lonely Hearts Club member and you'll receive cool swag, along with the heartwarming feeling of knowing you helped wonderful animals find forever homes. Monthly donations start at just $10!
